I came in to work to 40 e-mails with “URGENT” in at least 10 of the subject lines. I’ve recently been tasked with a greater responsibility (a promotion minus more money smh) that is going to take a lot of time and effort on my part. The thought of it was overwhelming when they first told me, and over the weekend as I briefly thought about it, but when I came in the office this morning I was surprisingly calm.
I still am. I have probably 5 meetings each, today, tomorrow and thursday. No free time to study for the LSAT.
But it’s what I have to do. Whether I want to or not.
